With the inauguration of the II Global Meeting at AECID, the event in Guatemala officially began. The opening featured Elena Diego Castellanos, Director of the Training Center for Spanish Cooperation in La Antigua; Paco Oliva Blazquez, President of AUIP and Rector of UPO, who participated online; Vitalino Similox, Rector of the Maya Kaqchikel University; Luis Pedro Taracena, EDUDER Coordinator at Rafael Landívar University; and Esther Prieto Jiménez, Coordinator of the EDUDER project and Director of the Ibero-American Chair of Education and Human Rights.
As part of the activities, the intervention plans of the EDUDER Project in the Southern Cone (Chile and Argentina) were presented during the First Panel of the Second Global Meeting, dedicated to “Vulnerability and University.” Participants included María Catalina Nosiglia and Lara Lucila Rozas from the University of Buenos Aires; Milagros González from the National University of Córdoba; Maritza E. Aburto Durán and Aurora Henriquez Melgarejo from the University of Bío Bío; and Marcela Gaete and Bernardo González from the University of Chile.
The second panel of the Second Global Meeting, focused on “Vulnerability and Universities”, presented the intervention plans of the EDUDER Project for the Andean Region. Participants included Diana Andrea Gómez from the National University of Colombia; Mary Luz Parra Gómez from the National Pedagogical University of Colombia; Hustana Vargas from Fluminense Federal University; and Mariana Corrêa de Azevedo and Adriana De Paula from the Federal University of Paraná.
